What are Subgroups?

At Substance Church, one of our top priorities is to help you connect with other Christians and find your best friends. One of the ways we provide this opportunity is through our subgroups. Subgroups are common-interest groups that range from Bible studies to married couple fellowships to old-fashioned parties. These groups meet at various times throughout the week and can occur weekly, biweekly, monthly or just every so often.

We believe that church doesn’t really start until after the service is over. A true church is more than a weekly service—it is a community of people living in close fellowship: mourning and rejoicing, supporting and interceding, sharpening and challenging, growing and pushing each other closer to God. We like to call this “doing life together”.

As you check out the different groups at Substance, note some that sound appealing to you, and check them out. Most of our subgroups don’t require a long-term commitment, so you are free to visit different groups until you find one that fits. Our leaders are always eager to help connect you with the right group for you.

"Sounds great! How can I find out about the groups, and find one to join?"
