Our Executive Leadership Team are the core leaders behind the vision here at Substance. Although we have many serving to fulfill the mission here at Substance these are definitely the Leaders who are responsible for it all.

Bart serves as the Executive Pastor at Substance Church. He feels called to live missionally, intentionally building relationships with those outside the faith as well as investing in the younger generations. He pastors and leads the staff as well as manages the day to day operations here at Substance Church.
Nate loves setting and achieving goals, which is evidenced by the fact that he has only had water to drink for the last six years. He applies that same commitment to his roles on the Directional Team and as Ministry Development Pastor. Find him on social media to follow his shenanigans with his wife and kids.

We believe we do things a bit differently here. That's not to say we're totally out in left field: On the surface we look like a typical church that preaches the Bible, but at Substance, we're also not afraid to do things differently when it means we could pique someone's interest--someone who might have grown up disliking church as much as I, Pastor Peter, did. Our beliefs may be similar to many churches you’ve found, but it is our hope that our “doing” is pushing the limits of your expectations, and driving our members deeper into community. Check out the video below to get an idea of what you can expect at one of our weekend services.
Substance currently meets in three locations to make your visit more accessible.
Our Spring Lake Park campus meets in the Fine Arts Auditorium at Spring Lake Park High School. Childcare is provided. Please turn your hazard lights on when you arrive to be guided to family parking.
Our University of Northwestern campus meets in Maranatha Hall on the college’s campus. This campus is a popular choice among college students. Follow signs upon arrival for directions to parking. Turn on your hazard lights for directions to family parking. Childcare is provided.
Saturday nights we meet at our Operation Center in Roseville. This is a live-recording service. Childcare is provided, but we ask that if you bring your children you utilize Substance Kids due to the recording.
This is a great way you can get connected. We want you to find something you’re passionate about.
